Some people like to have their suppressors tucked into their handguard. Why did CMMG go with a larger diameter than our handguards?

This diameter allows for the optimum volume needed to achieve performance standards in suppressor life and function. If the suppressor was designed to fit inside modern slim handguards, then the overall length would need to increase substantially to meet the same performance standards.
