# Why can't the Br4 DISSENT ship to Illinois?
On January 10, 2023 the state of Illinois passed an "assault weapons" ban that went into effect immediately upon signing by governor J.B. Pritzker.
CMMG is not able to ship any complete firearms or AR parts to Illinois, including the Br4 due to its ability to accept limited capacity detachable magazines being considered an "assault feature".
CMMG will continue to look for ways of bringing the Br4 to the residents of Illinois.
